Voters experienced a final push from both democrats and republicans before the polls closed, Election Day. Over at the republican and democratic headquarters in Fresno, volunteers made hundreds of phone calls to registered voters. Both sides say the key to this election is making sure every single person votes. Both sides kept very confident.
“There's been phenomenal energy this election cycle and folks are really enthused about voting enthused about participating and we feel really good about the outcome,” said Fresno Democratic Party Chairman, Michael Evans.
“Our expectations of course are going to be that Romney is our president. We feel very certain that this is going to happen,” said Fresno Republican Party member, Sandra Lakeman.
