Fresno County Toddler Safe After Found Wandering Country Road

A Fresno County toddler is home safe after found wandering along a busy road in the foothills Monday morning.

Just before 8:00 a.m. a 2-year-old was spotted standing on the south side of Pittman Hill Road in Fresno County. KSEE photographer Frank Romero saw the child, picked him up, and brought him to a neighbors home.

The sheriff's office was notified and deputies were able to locate the boy's father. He told authorities he had worked overnight and fallen asleep. The boy was then reunited his dad.

The sheriff's office told KSEE24 news the boy's father believes he escaped by opening a locked sliding glass door.
