(Press Release) A 21-year-old Fresno man, first wanted for questioning in the Sammy Mercado investigation, is now wanted for murder.
An arrest warrant for murder, attempted murder, and weapons charges has been issued for Ernie Chanmany. He was initially identified as one of the subjects possibly involved in Mercado’s disappearance.
Chanmany is described as a Lao male, 5' 6" tall, weighing 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos of a dragon on his left shoulder, “Chanmany” on his chest, and ”01-01-10” on his left wrist.
Chanmany’s whereabouts are unknown at this time. His last known address was on South Chance Avenue in Fresno. He could also be in Las Vegas, Nevada or Memphis, Tennessee.
