A pilot is recovering after his helicopter crash landed in Fresno County at about 12:45 near Highway 41 and Harlan Avenue.
The pilot radioed that he was having problems with his aircraft. His copter went down just northeast of Highway 41. It was carrying herbicide chemicals, but thankfully, CAL FIRE arrived to make sure no one was harmed by the chemicals.
Capt. Ryan Michaels\CAL FIRE: "We were anticipating the worst, luckily when we arrived, all that was still captured within the tanks and we were able to immediately start extricating the patient."
The pilot suffered moderate injuries. He was flown to a nearby hospital.
