Forget federal stimulus dollars, the real key to job creation is apparently innovative junk food. Taco Bell’s wildly popular Doritos Locos taco helped the fast-food chain company create 15,000 jobs this year.
The release of the tasty snack, a normal Taco Bell taco with a crunchy tortilla shell made from Doritos’ Nacho Cheese chips, was so successful that it literally created thousands of jobs.
The Tex-Mex restaurant chain, known for its cheap food and late hours, sold more than 375 million of the Doritos Locos tacos in 2012, which equates to about one million sold per day, according to the Daily Beast,
