It's an approach to justice that people say is making a difference. It's called restorative justice and workshops were held Friday. It's an approach that doesn't quite challenge traditional justice but may relieve it. A workshop was held to discuss 'restorative justice".

"It repairs harm done by crime and nothing else does that," said Sheri Wiedenhoefer.

In a nutshell it's about the victim and the offender meeting. Fresno started implementing this justice several years ago. Judge David Gottlieb is with the juvenile delinquency court and he's used this justice for 3 years.

"To see the person they've harmed in person. It makes it real for them," said Gottlieb.
