An 18 year old Los Banos man has died after a hit and run collsion last night.
It happened at about 7:30 at Fairmont and Cardinal, north of Highway 152.
Police say the victim was riding a scooter in the area when a white Ford or Chevy pick up struck him.
The victim, 18 year old Fernando Buenrostro, was was dragged for a couple hundred feet before the truck fled the scene.
He suffered major head injuries, and was airlifted to a Modesto hospital, where he later died.
Buenrostro was in the national guard, stationed in Sacramento.
He had just received a promotion.
He is survived by his parents, and two younger brothers.
Police are still looking for the light colored pickup that hit Buenrostro...
