A series of break-ins at liquor stores across Fresno has business owners on edge.
Store owners say the thieves are only taking lottery tickets, and nothing else.
The manager of the Fast and Esy store at Shields and Maroa says his store was broken into at about 4:30am Friday.
Security video shows a man breaking through the front window, then taking stacks of lottery tickets.
The manager says no cash or anything else was stolen.
In all, it was about $920 worth of lottery scratchers.
After a call to the state lottery, manager Paul Erore says there was maybe $70 in winnings from those tickets, and that one was cashed at a local 7/11.
"It's really bizarre, but with the economy all bad, I think whatever people could get away with, I think they'll try to get away with it."
Erore says several colleagues have had the same exact thing happen at their stores over the last month... at Shaw & Brawley, Palm & Nees, and Shields & Armstrong.
Damage at the Shields & Maroa store is an estimated $10,000.
