Former Central Valley Christian standout Lance Van Grouw is partially paralyzed after hurting his neck and spinal cord Sunday night in a Slip N' Slide accident. He had emergency surgery at Community Regional Medical Center to remove broken pieces of his C-5 vertebra that was pressing against his spinal cord. He has some feeling up to his calves but still cannot feel most of his legs and torso.
Van Grouw helped lead the Cavaliers to Valley Titles as a sophomore and Junior. Last season CVC finished runners-up to Washington Union.
