More tenants revealed the problems that have needed fixing by J.D. Home Rentals. Some complaints were made two years ago. The property managers were nominated to the Landlord Hall of Shame... and then sent maintenance crews.

J.D. Home Rentals issued the following statement:

"J.D. Home Rentals is proud to provide low income housing for those of our community who do not have the funds to pay higher rents, and offer our tenants the opportunity to live in an environment where they do not have to pay high rent, and yet, as most do, create their own "palace." It is against J.D. Home Rentals' policy to rent units in substandard condition. J.D. Home Rentals is committed to allowing our tenants to live peacefully, without interference from us or others, but also provide timely and effective maintenance repairs within the meaning of the law when they are needed. Our rent structure is based on this philosophy. Occasionally, maintenance issues arise, which is understandable given the large number of units which are rented. Upon receiving notice of such maintenance issues, J.D. Home Rentals deals with them and handles them within the meaning of the law. The Better Business Bureau notes two complaints in the past year; both have been resolved, either through the Better Business Bureau or independently. J.D. Home Rentals will continue to provide quality low-income housing, but does not choose to participate in name-calling or hyperbole."
