The images captured just moments after shots were fired in the Visalia mall show chaos and confusion. The cameras also caught two men walking away from the scene. Police say they are Adrian Esquer and Anthony Hansen.

Sergeant Amy Watkins said, "We've had contact with both of these individuals in the past. They are known to our officers."

The shooting happened during a busy night at the mall outside of a candy store. Police say Esquer and Hansen got into an argument with rival gang member, Miguel Alcala before shooting him in the neck. Steven Haynes, an innocent bystander was also shot. Both victims are recovering. The suspected gunmen got away but not for long.

Hansen was arrested at his home seven hours later and the SWAT team arrested Esquer at his home on Sunday.

"It concerns the police department, it also concerns the community. I think that's where the investigation and the leads developed and the ability to follow up on those leads really can attest to this community and what they are not willing to stand for," Sgt. Watkins said.

This isn't the first time Esquer has been in trouble. He spent five days in jail for a DUI last year. Back in August, he was convicted of assault and battery and resisting arrest. Police say both men are active gang members.

Esquer and Hansen are facing attempted murder charges and will appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
