(Press Release) The Madera County Sheriff's Office is reporting that a man drowned at Hensley Lake Monday afternoon.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office pulled a body of a man from the lake at about 6:00 p.m. near a boating dock. He was found roughly 8 feet under water.
Shortly before 3:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call from bystanders at the Hidden View boat ramp of a possible drowning victim.
They told deputies that they heard someone screaming but could not see anything. A boat near the dock was seen floating away.
The identity of the man will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
