A 35-year-old man stole his ex-girlfriend's engagement ring on Thanksgiving to give to his wife with the hope of patching things up.
Scranton police say 35-year-old Donald Albritton, from Pennsylvania, swiped the ring while his former girlfriend made Thanksgiving dinner and later gave it to his current wife.
Albritton was charged with theft and released on bail following his arraignment on Tuesday.
The Times Tribune reported that Albritton initially went to his ex-girlfriend's house on Thanksgiving to thank her for not filing a police report against his teenage daughter after she stole Ugg boots and a Juicy Couture bracelet from her.
While she was making dinner, Ms White took off her engagement ring which Albritton picked up and fled the premises.
