Being lost, it seems, is sometimes a matter of perspective.
An Oakland, Calif., couple believed to have gone missing on a long-distance bike trip in Peru were found safe and sound on Tuesday, shocked to learn that anyone had been looking for them.
Last heard from by their families on Jan. 25, Garrett Hand and Jamie Neal, both 25, were discovered riding on a boat on the Napo River near the Ecuador-Peru border, ABC News reported.
Neither Hand nor Neal had any inkling that their families had sounded the alarm over their suspected disappearance or that the U.S. State Department had joined in the search to help find them.
