A family member confirmed to KSEE24 that Bradley Babcock had committed suicide. His body was found in his off-campus apartment Wednesday. Bradley Babcock was to graduate from the university this year with a Bachelor's Degree.
His mom says she wants people to remember the cheerful young man who had an incredible gift. "He wanted to win. He was fabulous. He was a phenomenal god-gifted swimmer.He always gave up himself for somebody else."
A special memorial is scheduled for August 26th and will be held at Fresno Pacific University.
Babcock was a champion athlete and was a member of both the swimming and water polo teams at FPU. Last season as a junior he helped the Sunbirds capture their second consecutive NAIA national championship in men's swimming.
