NJ Town Places Armed Guards at All Schools

A New Jersey town added a fourth R to its curriculum: Revolvers.

Students in Marlboro, N.J., returned to classes Wednesday to find armed guards at school buildings — a startling change in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., massacre.

Many of the suburban parents dropping off children in SUVs and minivans expressed their support for the controversial security measure.
“It’s about time,” said Venice Robbins, 44, after arriving with her son at Robertsville Elementary School. “Safety’s very important to us. I think what happened (in Newtown) could have been stopped with more security.”
