Service staff are trained to keep an eye out for customers that are drinking too much. They'll stop servcing intoxicated people, or worse, kick them out of the bar.
Once they're out the door, local law enforcement is in "maximum enforcement." Almost every sworn officer in the Central Valley is on-duty tonight.
Drunk driving is falling from the top of their concerns. A recent survey by the California Office of Traffic Safety shows more than twice as many people drive under the influence of prescription or illegal drugs than people who are driving drunk.
