A well-known news anchor has revealed she was hounded out of her job by a cyber-stalker who hacked her emails and is still sending her abusive messages.
Vickie Newton, who used to be a news presenter on KMOV (Channel 4) in St Louis, has revealed the real reason behind her decision to quit the high-profile post and move back to her hometown in Arkansas.
Over five years, Newton, who won a Regional Emmy Award for Best News Anchor, was sent abusive emails by a stalker, who she also suspects hacked both her private and work email accounts.
In July, she was forced to leave her post because of the abuse, but claims it is only getting worse now she is off-air.
The stalker even describes items in her home in messages and names members of her family, she told her own website thevillagecelebration.com.
