The backlash Nadya (Octomom) Suleman is getting for going on welfare has escalated to life-threatening extremes.
According to TMZ, the mother of 14 has been receiving death threats from complete strangers since it was first revealed that she would be receiving aid from the state of California.
And although Suleman, 36, has received a large volume of angry phone calls, emails and Facebook messages, their tone is the same.
“Die b—. I’m not working for your f—ing kids, you’re the one that wanted them,” one read, according to TMZ.
In her defense, the mother, who recently posed nearly nude for Closer magazine, told the site that she only decided to reach out for help because she was “becoming totally destitute.”
She will receive $2,000 a month from the state, to be used solely on food, according to the site, and says she hopes to only rely on the assistance for two months at most.
Suleman recently told CNN that she received just $8,000 for her topless shoot, which was quickly spent just by paying the bills.
“I have to do what I have to do to take care of my family,” she said at the time, “and I’m not ashamed.”
