Octavio Angulo, 32, was shot by Fresno police when he pointed a loaded weapon at officers.
The road here on Cambridge is still blocked off. Officers are still investigating. They arrested three suspects Tuesday morning after they broke into a home.
Police received a phone call early Tuesday morning. It was from a nearby restaurant. The caller was a man that had escaped from the home. He told police his wife and three kids were still inside the home. Two of the robbers broke through the back fence with bolt cutters then kicked in the door.
"This looks like it was preplanned, it was a targeted house. Fortunately the man who lives here was able to escape."
When police arrived they saw a car take off and two suspects run out the back of the home. Officers chased the suspects car down while police took off after the other two. When police caught up to the suspects they were armed. Police say they felt threatened and fired. One suspect was hit three times and taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police say one of the suspects was wearing bullet proof vest. They also had 2-way radios a shot gun and zip ties. Police say they believe at least two of the suspects are bulldog gang members.
Police say they believe robbers were taking jewelry and a flat screen TV. No one in the home was injured.
