Authorities are looking for a plane that may have gone down south of the Porterville Municipal Airport.
The Tulare Sheriff's Office says the aircraft's last known coordinates were near the Tulare and Kern county lines possibly near Ducor.
No other airports in the area have reported any unscheduled landings.
Deputies say the combination of weather and darkness are complicating the search for the missing plane.
