Fresno police are investigating the shoting death of a young woman, found by her own family lying in a roadway just before midnight on Saturday.
Police say they received a phone call regarding a shooting victims just before midnight when moments later the victim and her family drove to the northwest policing district, met by officers.
Officers worked to save the 26 year old woman before she was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where she later died.
Family members say the woman was attending a party at a house on at the 2700 block of North Huges and was later found lying in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound shortly after leaving the home.
