Police are investigating a rash of armed robberies. Most happened in Fresno and a a couple happened in Clovis. Investigators are not sure if all of them are linked but they have a feeling at least 4 of them are.

Mike Palomino with Fresno Police said, "we are at this time, talking with Clovis Police, they're looking at their evidence, we're looking at ours and our investigators will hook up with theirs and see if there is a connection."

The four incidents that are possibly connected all happened on Sunday. The first, around 10:30 AM at a cigarette store near Shaw and Fowler in Clovis.

4 minutes later, police say a Hispanic woman, armed with a small handgun hit another cigarette store about a mile away.

Jim Koch with Clovis Police said the woman may have left something behind, "it appears after the second robbery the suspect dropped some clothing and other items that would identify them at the scene."

An hour and a half later, a similar thief hit the Varsity Liquor Store in Fresno and the 7-11 across the street from Fresno State. Both happened within 5 minutes of each other and the thief may have been caught on camera.

Palomino said, "a picture is worth a thousand words...hopefully the people involved have good video and will be able to help us."

Detectives say the woman may have acted alone but they're searching for 2 other men, one Black, one Hispanic, both in their 20's. Investigators believe the 2 men are responsible for 4 other armed robberies, 2 on Saturday and 2 early Sunday morning.

Police say the thieves are just after money but have not said how much has been stolen. Fortunately, no one was injured in any of the robberies. If you have any information, you should call Fresno or Clovis Police.
