Second Arrest Made in Visalia Mall Shooting

Adrian Esquire, 18 and Anthony Hanson, 18 were both arrested for a shooting that occurred at the Visalia mall on Friday, January 27th. Both men are known gang members.

Police have made a second arrest in a shooting that took place at the Visalia Mall on Friday night.

Adrian Esquer, 18, was arrested by police on Sunday night. His arrest followed the arrest of another 18 year old suspect, Anthony Hansen, who was arrested without incident at his home in Visalia.

Two men were wounded in the shooting. 20-year-old Miguel Alcala was the intended target, and 21-year-old Steven Haynes was a bystander.

Police say three of the men involved in the incident are known gang members and an altercation between them prompted the shooting.

The mall was evacuated after the shooting. Visalia police say this was an isolated incident between two rival gangs who just crossed paths at the mall.
