States with Most Secession Signatures Receive Massive Amounts of Federal Funding

Those pesky secessionists looking to cut ties with the United States may want to check their own states’ budgets before signing a petition to break away.

The states that have received the most signatures on petitions to secede from the Union were also some of the largest recipients of federal funding in 2010, it's being reported.

With the exception of Alabama, six of the seven states that received more than 25,000 signatures on petitions to cut ties with the federal government received more than $10 million from the federal government that year.
