(Yes, it rhymes!)
Nearly two thousand people braved the cold and fog... For an early morning thanksgiving jog.
1500 ran, and about 400 walked... For the 13th annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot.
"I took the shortcut though. I'm standing here by myself in a field waiting for everybody to catch up. Hopefully I'm not lost."
"This is my first year, because of these ladies."
There were just 400 8 years ago, which is considerable... For a course that's, well, semi-formidable.
John Volkman, Race Director: "Tor a lot of people, this has become a Thanksgiving tradition. We have prizes for the best costumes."
Natives, settlers, and birds that can't fly... You even had royalty, and then there was this guy...
Tom Jordan, Runner: "I just figured, thanksgiving, people eat a little too much today. So I figured I'd wear this and run it off."
We looked for Faith Sidlow... Instead we found Waldo.
The race benefits running teams at Buchanan, Clovis West, and Clovis East...
It also provides 200 hungry families with a Thanksgiving feast...
"I'm thankful for my family and my life".
Yes, of course, that's why we're here!
Gratitude... Thanks... It's that time of year...
And the love was dished out from Team 24... From you, from us, and so many more...
"I'm thankful for life."
"My family and my life."
"My family, my kids, for health, for this beautiful day."
"My family and I love them."
"Having a job in this economy and my friends and family."
"Having all this nice food not everybody gets to have."
"Just breathing, having a life and family and friends to be around."
"And the National Football League so I can enjoy today."
Happy Thanksgiving from us to you...

If you missed Thursday's Turkey Trot, organizers say there will be another one next year.
But in the meantime, if you're in need of a Holiday run, there is one being planned for Christmas.
It's the inaugural Fresno Jingle Bell Run, and it happens right on Christmas Tree Lane!
This is also a 5k run, and 2-mile walk...
It happens Saturday December 15th at 9am.
