New Jersey’s Tanning Mom says she wants critics to back off and let her roast in peace.
“I’m sorry, I’m tan,” said Patricia Krentcil, appearing on NBC’s “Today” Monday morning. “I like to be tan. It just feels good. I really think these moms and dads need to step off.”
Krentcil made headlines earlier this month when she was accused of taking her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning bed.
The 44-year-old mother of five from Nutley, N.J., plead not guilty to child endangerment charges, insisting her daughter, now 6, was burnt from swimming in a pool outside in the sun — not from an indoor tanning bed.
“It was beautiful out, and they went into the kiddie pool,” Krentcil said on “Today.” “She’s a redhead. She got sunburnt.”
