A Trayvon Martin demonstration in southwest Fresno is just one of many across the country. Thousands are showing their support for the 17 year old who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida.
Protesters are demanding justice, angry that it's been six weeks, and charges have yet to be filed.
Anonymous Protester: "I think it says that people need to wake up and realize the racism isn't a thing of the past, that it's still going on now."
Anonymous Protester: "We want george zimmerman to be prosecuted, at least arrested, put on trial."
But the events of the last two days have delayed those hopes.
Most recently, the attorneys for Zimmerman withdrew from the case.
Craig Sonner, Zimmerman's Former Attorney: "We've lost contact with him. Up to this point, we had contact with him everyday. He's gone on his own. Not sure what he's doing or who he's talking to, but at this point we're withdrawing as counsel."
Shots were fired at an unmanned police car Monday night, which was parked outside the gated community where Martin was killed.
In Detroit, this disturbing road sign was discovered on the side of a highway.
Earlier in the day, the special prosecutor brought in for the case said she wouldn't put the case before a grand jury.
Martin's family is growing more concerned with every passing second that George Zimmerman is not behind bars.
Tracey Martin, Trayvon's Father: "We are really concerned whether or not he's a flight risk. They said he was not in the state of Florida, and so we're really concerned if he's ever going to be brought to justice."
And that's the sentiment demonstators are trying to communicate.
