FRESNO – U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Parviz Marashi, who was wanted by the Utah Department of Corrections for parole violations.
Marashi has a long criminal history and is currently on parole for Sexual Abuse of a Child, and is currently listed as one of the Utah Department of Corrections Most Wanted..
On August 20, 2012 the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force was contacted by the U.S. Marshal’s Office from the District of Utah, who believed that Marashi was at an apartment complex in southeast Fresno.
Upon arrival, Task Force Officers observed Marshai and he was subsequently taken into custody. Marshai was booked into the Fresno County Jail, where he awaits extradition back to Utah.
The Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force is a U.S. Marshals-sponsored partnership comprised of investigators from federal, state, and local agencies.
