A valley veteran now has a better way to get around town.
Curtis Johnson, a veteran who fought and was injured in Iraq, was given a Segway Monday.
He says the Segway will give him new mobility, and allow him to keep up with every day tasks most of us take for granted. "I've got four daughters and they'll all young, very active and keeping up with them is pretty difficult. Everyday tasks like going to the grocery store or going on a walk around the block, taking my dogs out, stuff like that, I haven't been able to do for years."
The donation was made possible by "Segs for Vets," and the Disabled American Veterans Thrift Store. Over the last two years, the thrift store has donated three Segways to valley veterans.
