(Press Release) On Monday afternoon the Tulare County Sheriff's Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a shooting on Road 64 near Avenue 384. After deputies had arrived, they found the victim of a gun shot wound who died at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Cesar Ramirez of Hayward. He was staying on the property where the shooting occurred even though he is listed as a resident of Hayward.
According to officers, numerous shots were heard prompting the 9-1-1 call. Ramirez was located in the grow site he was tending, which had about 316 marijuana plants. It appears the property was being rented for this grow site and there were other separate grow sites on the property.
The Sheriff's Office is looking for two subjects who may have information on the case and were last seen leaving the area in a black 2004-2005 Dodge four-door pickup truck with stock body.
The first person was identified by the name of Gregorio, with an unknown last name. He was also known as "Goyo" or "Gollo." He is a Hispanic, male, approximately 38-years-old with a medium build, 5' 9", with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, blue-green jeans and boots.
The second person was identified by a nickname of "Toricato." He is a Hispanic, male, approximately 25 to 27-years-old with a medium build, 5' 6", with black hair and brown eyes and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a logo, blue t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes with a black stripe.

The Sheriff's Marijuana Suppression Program (STEP) Team was called to investigate the legality of the grow site.
An autopsy for Ramirez is scheduled on Wednesday.
