2012 left us in good shape. Following a dry start to 2013, we could use a repeat of tonight.

Dark clouds over the Central Valley threatened everyone below on Tuesday. By the evening commute, heavy showers blanketed the entire region.

Snow fell in the mountains. Around 100 people between Fresno and Clovis lost power.

PG&E had been preparing for the worst. With 150,000 miles of power lines to inspect, and couple of downed trees fell through the cracks.

Meanwhile farmers have been hoping this day would come. Many are already running irrigation to to water their crops.

The Fresno County Farm Bureau says they need more days like today. April 1st is when most farmers say "goodbye" to rain until the following winter.
