Black Friday One Week Away
The day after Thanksgiving, often referred to as Black Friday, is one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Retail stores often offer steep discounts.

28 year old Nathaniel Caetano has been arrested by Kings County Sheriffs deputies on charges of arson, marijuana cultivation and murder. Human remains were found in a burned down building on the property where he lived with his mother and father. The remains are believed to be those of Caetano's father, Leonard. More

The chase ended in a Fresno county island where a Clovis Police officer opened fire, striking two men. The unidentified suspects were rushed to an area hospital. Their conditions are unknown. Planning Commission Delays Vote on Historic Business
Van Ness Auto Repair, the oldest gas station in California, can continue breathing for at least another couple of weeks. The City of Fresno's planning commission was expected to make a vote that would decide the future of the business, but after lengthy testimony from attorneys from both Van Ness Auto and the City, that decision could be made December 2nd. Salvation Army Facing Turkey Shortage
The Visalia Salvation Army is asking for help feeding the needy this Thanksgiving.
Every year the Salvation Army accepts 800 applications for food baskets.
But because of a decrease in donations they only have 113 turkeys, a fraction of what they need.

A Clovis City councilman is looking to move up in California’s political ranks.
Wednesday morning, Councilman Bob Whalen announced plans to run for the 29th assembly seat.
Whalen is a long time member of the Republican Party, who’s led the fight against higher taxes and wasteful spending.
If elected he says he wants to bring back accountability to the state and focus on budget stability and crime prevention. More

Time May Run Out for Historic Fresno Gas Station
A battle is raging again over a historical Fresno business.
The service station on Van Ness Ave. in Old Fig Garden has been around since the 1920’s but it could soon be forced to shut down.
A meeting of the city planning commission will meet Wednesday night to decide if the gas station should close.
Neighbor’s complaints led to the station’s permit being revoked last month.
But the owner and his supporters are ready to fight that decision.

Holiday Exhibitions at the Fresno Met Museum
The Fresno Met Museum always has a lot going on. Currently, there are beautiful holiday trees on display as part of the "Horton Hears a Holiday" exhibition. Others include the Art of Dr. Seuss and Chagall for Children. KSEE 24's Pamela Prado spends the morning live at the museum with a look. Vigil Held for Slain Bystander
Fresno Police continue their investigation into a shooting over the weekend while family and friends continue to mourn the unexpected loss of Arthur Solario. A routine trip to the grocery store and back put him in the wrong place at the wrong time, when gang violence erupted into shots fired. Four people were hit, including Solario, who later succumbed to his injuries. He was remembered as a happy and dedicated father. More

Homless in Visalia Ordered to Leave
A group of homeless people living along the Saint John’s River in Visalia have been ordered to leave.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department served a final notice at 7am.
Authorities say the area is private property, and the owners have made complaints.
The homeless were given 2 hours to pack up and leave the property.
Many placed their belongings in cars and drove off while others walked away with boxes and shopping carts.
The Sheriff’s Department says any property left behind can be claimed at its headquarters.

Scalded Child Condition Improving
Clovis Police say a 7 week old girl who was scalded his weekend, is getting better.
28 year old Jason Valencia was arrested over the weekend, after police say he used scalding water to wash his baby.
She suffered 2nd degree burns over 10% to 12% of her lower body.
Police say the girl has been upgraded from serious, to fair condition.
Valencia is facing child endangerment charges. More

Bystander Killed in Gang Shooting
Fresno Police are investigating a deadly shooting on Saturday night that killed a bystander.
Fresno Police responded to a report of gunfire in the area of Shileds and Hughes around 10pm.
Four men were shot, three survived, but 38 year old Arthur Solario died from his injuries. More

Gas Leaks Shut Down Roads in Fresno
A gas leak has forced two road closures in Fresno.
Westbound lanes of Shaw Avenue between Palm and Maroa will be shut down until at least 8pm, while PG&E fixes the gas leak.
The second gas leak is affecting traffic on northbound lanes of Clovis Avenue between Tulare and Kings Canyon.
Authorities expect Clovis Avenue to reopen by 5pm.
The fire department says the gas leaks are minor, and there are no evacuations in the nearby areas. More

Fresno Father Accused of Scalding Infant
Jason Valencia, 28, Fresno was arrested Friday night, after allegedly scalding his seven-week-old daughter. The little girl is in serious condition with burns over 12 percent of her body. The infant had a bowel movement, and Valencia was attempting to clean the girl with extremely hot water. Clovis Police say Valencia waited approximately five hours before seeking medical treatment for his child. More

Federal prosecutors allege the Alavi Corporation has been secretly funding hundreds of millions of dollars to an Iranian-run bank. The Corporation has properties across the country, including just up highway 99 in Carmaichael near Sacramento. The Feds are moving to seize these properties, which hold mosques.
