Attack on elderly woman caught by surveillance camera

Fresno police have released video of an attack on an elderly woman as she was walking to church. Police are hoping someone recognizes the suspect and lets them know his identity.

SURVEILLANCE VIDEO CAPTURES ROBBERY OF
ELDERLY WOMAN

Victim was walking to Church at time of attack

Police Chief Jerry Dyer is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in the robbery of an elderly woman in broad daylight as she was headed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
The incident occurred on Sunday, April 20 at approximately 6:50 A.M. at Cedar and Fairfax in Central Fresno.
The suspect is described as a Black Male Adult, 19 to 24-years-old, 5’ 10” tall with baggy blue jeans and a very distinctive white jacket with black sleeves and a black hood.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a 2000-05 white, four-door Dodge Stratus with chrome wheels.
The victim’s left shoulder was broken in the incident and her purse, along with less than $10 was stolen.

remain anonymous and call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
