KSEE 24 NEWS EXCLUSIVE
WEB EXTRA: U.S. soldier from Fresno continues to be held in Mexican prison

By Geoff Roth

Army specialist Richard Medina Torres remains in a Mexican prison after being arrested for possessing weapons while traveling in Mexico, Torres says he was driving from El Paso to Fresno when he took a wrong turn and wound up crossing the border into Mexico. Mexican officials found an AR-15 assault rifle and a handgun in his car, which violated Mexican laws. Torres could face up to 15 years in a Mexican prison if found guilty. This is the raw interview with Torres conducted today in Juarez. Torres says the prison is horrible, he is afraid for his life, and that he would rather be back in Iraq than in the prison.
