Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger held a rally in downtown Fresno to gather support for his plan to veto the proposed state budget. The governor told a large crowd that the proposed budget did nothing to solve the state's fiscal crisis and simply put off the problems until next year. He quoted several newspaper editorials from around the state urging him to veto the plan. This is the entire speech made by the governor in Fresno Wednesday afternoon.

As a State employee I feel that our Governor isn't thinking about us, but his own political gain. We as State workers work very hard for our money and for the Governor not to sign this budget is wrong and on top of that he only wants to pay us $6.55 an hour(I don't think so.) Governor, how would you feel if all the State workers came to live with you, because that is what we will have to do if you cut our pay. We won't be able to pay our mortgage or provide for our families.

as far as the budget plan, it should fit for the cost of living, and gas...there needs to be a raise....

I agree with melissa, the governor does not care for the people of our State, in fact, if he really cared, he would have fixed the budget crissis since day one. Now, four years later he thinks he wants to make a difference, I don't think so. Impeach Arnold.
