Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino wants you to “Think Pink” and help raise money for Adventist Health Breast Care Center. Throughout the month of October Tachi Palace will sell Tachi Thinks Pink t-shirts for $5.00 and pink ribbons for $1.00, with all of the proceeds going to the center.
The Adventist Health Breast Care Center is nearly 2,800-square-feet, spa-like environment and innovative, comprehensive services center, located on the second floor of the Hanford Medical pavilion. The Breast Care Center officially opened to the public on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011. The Center offers a full complement of services covering multiple aspects of diagnostics and care, including digital mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry and stereotactic breast biopsies. In addition, breast MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is offered to detect breast cancer and other breast abnormalities in the Adventist Health / Lab and Imaging Center.
Peter Murphy of Peter Murphy Racing has agreed to place the Think Pink ribbons on his pink car for every race in the month of October to promote the charity event; this is the second year he has participated. Peter races 410 winged sprint cars. He has won 9 championships and in the last 6 years has had over 65 victories. Tachi Palace has been sponsoring him since 2002.
In addition to banners posted in Casino of the Moon, Tachi Palace will hold a slot tournament on October 5th. KSEE 24’s buddy check spokesperson, Stefani Booroojian will be Guest Speaker at the October 28th Community Breakfast where a check will be presented to Adventist Health Breast Care Center for monies raised throughout the month.
