It seems like with each year... Black Friday gets more and more intense...
"I've been out here for how long? For 5 hours, and they're going to tell me this tv's not on sale, because it sold out at 5am?!"
Looks like 5am just isn't early enough to line up on Black Friday anymore... The deals go quick!
For example, best buy offered a 40-inch LCD TV when it opened at midnight.
Other stores offered discounts of 50 to 60% off already discounted items.
K-Mart also had a good deal on tv's... If you were quick...
"This supposed to sell on Friday! Well, it's going to sell tonight! You know why? Because I'm going to escalate, escalate, escalate, because the customer is always right!"
We kept our fingers crossed for Miss Leticia Hamler...
Five hours is a long time to wait...
But a lot of lines began forming Wednesday...
With many trading Thanksgiving at home... For Thanksgiving in line!
For some, it's just not worth it...
Jean Raymond slept in.
"We chose not to get up at the crack of dawn or before the crack of dawn. 'And you're still getting a deal?' Yes, we are! 'Imagine that!' I know, it's cool!"
At Best Buy in River Park, shoppers braved the cold and fog for early morning sales.
At the Sierra Vista Mall, some customers at Kohl's braved an hour wait to make the purchase!
"Did you just get in line? 'Yes.' You know where the registers are, right? 'At the very front of the store.' You know where you are, right? 'At the very back of the store!'"
50 to 60% off toys for kids? Half off of jeans, shirts, and sweaters? An additional 50off clearance items?
How can you say no?
"I need my tv because I'm cold, I'm anemic and I'm hungry!"
For some, it's totally worth it.
I'm for real, and if they think I'm playin' they can try me okay?"
