The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was held this morning at Fresno State.
A survivor ceremony was held, honoring our local surivivors of breast cancer.
KSEE 24's own Stefani Booroojian MC'd the event.
Over 4,000 runners and walkers raised money, and many participated in either a 5k run or walk.
Jamie Ledezma, Survivor & Volunteer: "I was diagnosed when I was 27 years old and 14 weeks pregnant. So my first race for the cure, I brought my son when was 12 weeks old. So now I'll be able to cross with him this morning. And he's 5 years old and to watch that... We're living proof because of races like this that happen all over the country."
Proceeds from today's event goes to breast cancer services and research in Fresno county.
