It was Go Pink Game Day at Madera South High School.

Cheerleaders, football players and parents all wore pink.

The young athletes were raising awareness for breast cancer.

They also collected donations for A Spoonfull of Sugar, an organization that supports women with breast cancer and their families.

Organizers hope the event encourages kids to get involved with non-profit groups.
