Fresno county voters were able to head to the polls today. The elections office downtown was open for early voting, and plenty of people took advantage of it.

Some showed up to avoid crowded polling stations on election day, while others said it was just a convenient way to vote.

Diane Neulinger, Early Voter: "So happy they're open on a Saturday, because we work and couldn't have come down during the week."

Janice Bizer, Early Voter: "It keeps us from standing in long lines and we just want to make sure our vote counts."

The county is hoping election day will run as smoothly as things did today.

There will be 272 polling stations open Tuesday...

Along with 9 drive up, and drop off locations.

One of those will be near the elections office.
