Flames engulfed a single engine plane Saturday night.

It crashed in South Lake Tahoe, killing everyone on board.

Video was shot by a witness moments after the crash.

According to reports, the pilot was Francisco de la Mora of Fresno...

He was flying with his wife and daughter.

Harold and Kin Cardwell were also in the plane.

Both are from Fresno.

Close friends of the Cardwells shared pictures with us, but they didn't want to speak on camera.

They say it's too difficult.

Investigators haven't released many details, but they are slowly emerging.

The plane took off from the airport and crashed a mile away.

Witnesses say they heard the engine sputtering and saw the plane fall as it tried to turn...

The crash ignited a field and burned about an acre..

The flames defeated any hopes of a rescue.

Investigators say the people on board had only been in tahoe for a few hours, and the pilot did not file a flight plan.
