Rally for water on the West side

Organizers of the California Latino Water Coalition march that was held 3 weeks ago gathered supporters in Firebaugh Saturday evening to keep the momentum of the movement going. Comedian and activist Paul Rodriguez and others entertained and provided food for the rally. Leaders at the rally say they need to keep the pressure on state and federal officials to get water flowing again to Fresno County's West side, hit hard by drought, the recession, and severe water allocation cutbacks. The group is planning a trip to Washington, D.C., and says it wants irrigation water pumps turned back on in the next few weeks.
