FRESNO, CA, USA (KSEE) -- Firefighters have successfully put out a brush fire threatening homes in Fresno County.

The three acre fire started around 3 Wednesday afternoon on Locan and Tollhouse Road.

Three to four homes were in the path of the flames, but quick action by fire crews helped minimize the damage.

Firefighters say now is a good time to think about protecting your home from fire danger by creating “defensible space,” which is done by cutting down any and all brush around your property and home.
