Shoppers Welcome Report Popular Retailers To Fill Gottschalks Void at Prime Locations

KSEE 24's media partner, the Visalia Times-Delta, is reporting that Macy's had the winning bid to take over the Gottschalks stores at River Park in Fresno and the Visalia Mall. The winning bid came at an auction at the federal bankruptcy court in San Francisco. A bankruptcy judge still has to approve the deal next month, The clothing chain Forever 21 is also looking at taking over some of Gottschalks other properties, including the store at the Hanford Mall and the Sierra Vista Mall.
