Domestic Violence Victims in Jeopardy

More than 800 woman and their children turn to Fresno's Marjaree Mason Center every year for protection from domestic violence.

KSEE 24 News spoke with a woman who said her life was saved because of the emergency shelter at the Marjaree Mason Center.

Last year, the shelter had to turn away more than 100 victims they just didn't have the resources to help.

Now, with Governor Schwarzenegger's latest cut, a spokesperson for the center says they'll be forced to turn away even more victims of abuse.
