There were tense moments in the hills east of Prather, as a wildfire broke out and quickly started spreading Thursday afternoon. Hundreds of firefighters along with helicopters were sent to the area, and within a few hours the fire was contained. But, flames came dangerously close to homes, and for a time there was a voluntary evacuation order. Few people actually left their homes. Residents praised firefighters for working so quickly to protect their homes.
