Gardasil Concerns

The Gardasil vaccine has been administered to more than eight million young women since it was approved in 2006. It involves a series of three shots that protect against 70% of cervical cancers.

Some believe the vaccine can cause adverse side effects, but others, including a Fresno nurse practitioner, say the benefits outweigh the risks.

A federal tracking system has reported 15 deaths following the vaccination.

I am a breast cancer survivor. My daughter died from cervical cancer. My granddaughter has already had the Gardisil shot. I feel it is worth taking chances rather than suffer more grief.
