1 1/2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 pear, pealed and diced
3 cups cranberries, clean & picked over
1 medium orange peel, grated into a fine zest
1 tsp. ginger
1 heaping tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp. Ground cloves
dash cardamom powder
Boil water, add all ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer 20 minutes. Chill in refrigerator until sauce thickens. Serve with your favorite holiday meal.
