With music, dance and those ever popular “one-liners” the Central Valley’s premier senior review, New Wrinkles, takes a light-hearted look at the many sides of romance and…matrimony. New Wrinkles 2009 runs may 29 to June 14.

This year’s show will find its senior performers discovering romance at home, in the park, on the streets and, and even more exotic location—A Disney cottage in the forest.

All cast members must be at least 55 years of age to audition yearly for the show. There are over 75 cast members in this year’s production.

Of the original four nationwide senior companies, Fresno City College’s New Wrinkles is the only active senior showcase company remaining in the country.

For the sixth year the New Wrinkles vocal coach and musical director is Dede Nibler with the entire production under the direction of Fred Bologna. This year’s costume creations will be supervised by Vivian Telles, Jan Mayes and Beverly Shows.

The state-of-the art Fresno City College Theatre, with not an obstructed seat in the house, has always been home base for the New Wrinkles shows.

Tickets for this year’s show are $15. Tickets are available at the New Wrinkles 2009 Takes a Look at Love and Marriage: For Better…For Worse. This morning on KSEE Sunrise Flamenco dancer Ginny Sierra performed for us.
